Supply Chain Manager

Role:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement and material planning process to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and consumables across all projects and factory operations. A key focus of this role is to implement and manage effective Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems, forecast material demand, and optimize inventory levels to support timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1.

• Develop and maintain an MRP system to plan and forecast material requirements across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with planning, production, and project teams to gather real-time data on consumption, upcoming needs, and lead times.
• Convert production schedules into timely and accurate purchase requisitions.
• Anticipate material bottlenecks and implement contingency plans.

• Oversee the full procurement cycle vendor selection, purchase orders, delivery tracking, and cost negotiation.
• Evaluate vendor performance and develop strategic partnerships for high-quality and timely supplies.
• Implement rate contracts and optimize supplier base for efficiency and cost savings.

• Set inventory thresholds for critical and non-critical items; monitor slow-moving and fast-moving stock.
• Coordinate with stores and site teams for timely stock replenishment and demand-supply alignment.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and material reconciliation with accounts and stores.

4.

• Ensure accurate data entry and procurement tracking in ERP/MRP systems.
• Implement SOPs for procurement, inventory, and supplier management in line with company policy.
• Prepare regular reports on purchase trends, material consumption, inventory health, and supplier KPIs.
• Work closely with accounts for timely vendor payments and resolving invoice discrepancies.
