Description
As a Supply Chain Manager for a large global business unit, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of moderately complex supply chain processes. Your role will involve enhancing current business processes and performance metrics by leading regional and global business unit planning teams, identifying opportunities to streamline and optimize operational processes, contributing to special projects, and communicating requirements to the global business unit planning teams. You will be required to manage various supply chain processes such as inventory analysis and planning, demand management, logistics management, and import/export operations for a large global business unit. Independently executing basic demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be driving the analysis conducted for backlog management and gathering demand data from country, region, and account managers to synthesize information using complex analysis, delivering demand signals to the supply base to contribute to demand forecasting. In addition, you will coordinate or lead regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance current business processes. Monitoring key metrics, creating relevant reporting metrics, and reviewing information for continuous improvement will be crucial aspects of your role. You will contribute to priority projects with complex analysis, assist in developing recommendations, and communicate requirements and guidelines to the global business unit planning teams. Furthermore, you will coordinate, develop, and manage a regulatory trade compliance program. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. Typically, candidates should have 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field, or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience. Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and Certified Professional in Supply Management (Standards Organizations). Proficiency in various knowledge and skills areas such as Continuous Improvement Process, Data Analysis, Enterprise Resource Planning, Finance, Inventory Control, Inventory Management, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Lean Manufacturing, Material Requirements Planning, Materials Management, Process Improvement, Procurement, Production Planning, Purchasing, SAP Applications, Supply Chain, Supply Chain Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Planning, and Warehousing is recommended. Moreover, the candidate should possess cross-organizational skills including Effective Communication, Results Orientation, Learning Agility, Digital Fluency, and Customer Centricity. This role will have an impact on multiple teams and may require you to act as a team or project leader, providing direction to team activities and facilitating information validation and team decision-making processes. You will respond to moderately complex issues within established guidelines.
