Job Description

The Supplier Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in conducting supplier quality activities across various manufacturing sites, primarily focusing on China De-risking. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for providing leadership in supplier quality, technical expertise, and project management for performance improvement initiatives supporting North America and Europe NMI projects. Your key responsibilities will include conducting pre-technical and technical reviews, reviewing FAI (First Article Inspection) with engineering and plant quality teams, tracking FAI and 1st production lots, ensuring process capability for critical features, and supporting the Supplier Qualification process by evaluating and approving new suppliers. Additionally, you will be involved in conducting supplier process audits, resolving supplier-related issues and nonconformance, identifying and managing risks from suppliers, and supporting supplier development projects to achieve quality and lead-time objectives. You will need a Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering, along with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in casting, machining, or equivalent fields. Strong leadership skills, commitment to personal growth, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, ability to handle multiple priorities, and strong organization and planning skills are essential for this role. Preferred requirements include expertise in die-casting, sand casting, investment casting, machining, metallurgy, and other related areas. Knowledge of quality control techniques such as FMEA, SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, ISO auditor certification, 6-Sigma, GD&T, and reading and interpreting drawings will be advantageous. Effective supplier relationship management, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are also preferred.
