Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer position at Hitachi Energy in Savli, Vadodara, Gujarat, India, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join their High Voltage Business team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for Supplier Development, improving supplier performance, and optimizing processes. This includes monitoring supplier rejections, conducting vendor audits and evaluations, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the SCM function to drive localization of products, qualifying suppliers, assessing supplier performance, and developing suppliers to achieve quality conformance with Hitachi requirements. To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5-8 years of experience in a similar field, be a Certified Internal Auditor, and have hands-on experience with PPAP. Additionally, experience in handling commodities such as Machining, Sheet Metal, Al Castings, Painting, Plating, and Welding processes is required.
