Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily machine operations at our site in TATA Steel Ltd., Meramandali. The candidate will be responsible for managing production activities, ensuring machine health, maintaining quality standards, adhering to safety protocols, and leading a team to achieve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities1. Operations & Production Management

• Oversee day-to-day machine operations within the steel plant.
• Ensure efficient running of machinery and adherence to production schedules.
• Inspect finished products, address quality issues, and coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow.

2. Machine Health & Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure machines operate at optimal quality standards.
• Identify defects or abnormalities and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate repair and preventive maintenance activities with maintenance teams.

3. Resource & Planning Management

• Create and monitor production plans.
• Optimize resource allocation based on operational demands.
• Adjust production schedules when required.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of workers.
• Assign tasks, provide on-the-job training, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Address employee concerns and ensure a productive work environment.

5. Quality Control

• Conduct regular quality inspections and maintain high-quality standards.
• Analyze data to identify quality issues and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance with industry and company quality guidelines.

6. Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Track production metrics and analyze performance data.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to management.

7. Problem Solving & Coordination

• Troubleshoot production issues including equipment malfunctions and delays.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and management teams to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

8. Safety Compliance

• Enforce safety procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Identify potential hazards and take preventive measures to maintain a safe workplace.
