Job Description

Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and organized Studio Manager to oversee daily operations in the studio and manage all photography-related activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between studio operations and creative photography projects while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency


Key Responsibilities:

1. Studio Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring all equipment, props, and setups are functional and well-maintained.
  • Manage studio schedules, bookings, and workflows to optimize productivity.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of studio equipment, ensuring timely repairs or replacements.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols within the studio environment.

2. Photographer Coordination:

  • Coordinate with photographers and creative teams to plan and execute shoots efficiently.
  • Ensure photographers are briefed on project requirements, timelines, and brand guidelines.
  • Supervise photoshoots to ensure adherence to quality standards and project briefs.
  • Assist with setting up lighting, props, and other technical aspects during photoshoots when needed.

3. Team Management:

  • Lead and manage studio assistants, stylists, and other supporting staff.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring smooth operations during shoots.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on studio equipment and photography processes.

4. Creative Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing and creative teams to align photography projects with brand aesthetics and campaign goals.
  • Provide input on creative concepts and ensure execution aligns with project objectives.
  • Assist in curating and maintaining a visual library of images for future use.

5. Reporting and Budgeting:

  • Prepare reports on studio usage, project timelines, and team performance.
  • Manage the studio’s budget, including equipment purchases, maintenance, and staff allocations.
  • Track expenses for photoshoots and ensure cost efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in studio operations or photography management.
  • Proven experience managing photography projects, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce sectors.

Education:

  • Degree/Diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of photography techniques, studio lighting, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in software like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and project management tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team coordination.

Competencies:

  • Attention to detail and a creative eye for photography aesthetics.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality creative outputs.


LOCATION: Kanakavalli Studio, Chennai

This is an onsite, in-office position.
