STRUCTURAL BIM COORDINATOR(5+yrs)

Project Role

: • BIM Development: Creation, management, and detailing of electrical BIM models, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

• System Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems including equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and their integration within building structures.

• Building Systems Coordination: Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, plumbing, and other services to resolve clashes and ensure seamless integration.

• 3D Modelling & Visualization: Develop accurate 3D models and visualizations of electrical systems to communicate design intent effectively.

• Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high quality results.

• Standards Compliance: Maintain accuracy, standards of information presentation, and ensure consistency in deliverables.

• Self-Checking: Perform self-checking/vetting of drawings before submission for review.

• Documentation: Generate detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications for construction and permit applications.

• AutoCAD Skills: Apply AutoCAD for precise drafting and documentation of electrical systems.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure coordinated and clash-free model delivery.

• Quality Control: Review BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

• COBie: Ensure COBie deliverables at LOD 300.

• Problem Solving: Prioritize tasks effectively and resolve technical or coordination issues.

• Time Management: Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery.

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information effectively.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and BIM standards.
