.In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing structural components to ensure durability, safety, and compliance with engineering standards. You will perform fatigue and damage tolerance assessments, prepare detailed technical reports, and validate design performance using both hand calculations and software-based analysis. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify critical load cases, failure modes, and repairability solutions. You will also contribute to the creation of dossiers, justification reports, and verification documentation, helping to ensure high-quality engineering outcomes in a fast-paced and technically challenging environment.
Accountabilities
- Conduct fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for structural components, identifying representative locations for stress assessment
- Perform hand calculations and software-based evaluations to verify structural performance
- Extract loads for components and subassemblies to carry out detailed stress checks
- Identify critical load cases, potential failure modes, and implement low-life mitigation strategies
- Prepare technical documentation, including dossiers, justification reports, and verification reports
- Utilize tools such as ISAMI and finite element analysis software (e.g., Nastran, Patran) for advanced assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and compliance with engineering standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerostructures
- 5-10 years of experience in fatigue and damage tolerance analysis, ideally with fuselage components
- Strong hands-on experience with structural analysis and hand calculations
- Proficiency in preparing dossiers, justification reports, and verification reports
- Experience using ISAMI and finite element software for analysis (Nastran, Patran preferred)
- Skilled in identifying failure modes, calculating load exceedances, and applying repairability solutions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment
