To scale our vision, we are hiring a Fundraising & Strategic Relationship Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving capital infusion, building investor confidence, and forging long-term strategic alliances.
Role Overview.
We are seeking a Fundraising Manager who will lead PayNback’s investor outreach, fundraising campaigns, and strategic partnerships with VCs, angel investors, family offices, and financial institutions. This is a high-impact role with direct visibility to the leadership team and founders.
Key Responsibilities.
* Develop and execute PayNback’s fundraising strategy across equity, venture debt, and grants.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with VCs, angel networks, HNIs, family offices, and institutional investors.
* Prepare and present investment decks, financial models, and data rooms to investors.
* Lead investor meetings, follow-ups, and negotiations to successfully close funding rounds.
* Monitor industry trends, funding benchmarks, and competitor fundraising activities.
* Collaborate with the leadership team on valuation, deal structuring, and compliance.
* Represent PayNback at startup events, demo days, and investor forums.
Experience Required.
* 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, investment banking, venture capital, or startup fundraising roles.
* Proven track record of raising funds for startups/scale-ups.
* Strong LinkedIn Presence – Must have an active, well-maintained LinkedIn profile that reflects professional achievements, network strength, and credibility in the startup/finance ecosystem.
* Startup Ecosystem Knowledge – Hands-on exposure to working with startups, incubators, accelerators, or venture networks, with a clear understanding of funding stages (Seed to Series A+).
* High-Value Sales / Closures – Proven experience in closing or managing minimum $1M (₹8–10 Cr) in monthly transactions, sales, or fundraising deals.
* Client Relationship Management – Demonstrated success in managing potential clients, HNIs, and institutional partners, with documented references of past relationship handling.
* Wealth Management Experience – Prior experience in engaging with wealth management firms, HNI portfolios, or private banking clients, showcasing ability to handle sophisticated investors and family offices.
* Strategic Networking – Ability to leverage existing contacts and build new relationships across VCs, angels, family offices, and corporate investors.
* Someone with 3–5 years of startup/VC/banking background, has already helped close fundraising rounds, knows how to model, pitch, negotiate, and can leverage networks to bring in investors + strategic partnerships.
Qualifications.
* Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Business, or related fields (MBA preferred).
* Strong financial modeling, investor relations, and negotiation skills.
Requirements.
* Deep understanding of the startup funding ecosystem (Seed to Series A+).
* Excellent storytelling, pitching, and networking skills.
* Strong analytical and financial acumen.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
* Willingness to travel for investor meetings and events.
What We Offer.
💰 Compensation & Rewards CTC Range: ₹12,00,000 – ₹18,00,000 per annum (depending on experience & network strength).
