Role Summary

The STP Manager is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and compliance of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) across EA Mall, E Hotel, and E Residences. This role ensures that treated wastewater meets regulatory standards and that plant operations are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with environmental safety practices as per TNPCB guidelines.

Key Responsibilities1. STP Operation & Compliance

· Monitor daily operations and maintenance of STP plants at EA Mall.

· Ensure STP-treated water consistently meets the quality standards prescribed by Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).

· Maintain and review STP logbooks and records as per TNPCB norms.

2. Maintenance & Preventive Action

· Develop and implement daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance schedules for all STP equipment.

· Monitor the health and functioning of all pumps, tanks, filters, and mechanical systems.

· Oversee cleaning of all STP tanks and associated components.

3. Water Quality Monitoring

· Regularly test and verify treated water quality to ensure compliance.

· Perform and oversee calibration of OCEM systems and EMF flow meters.

· Supervise the replacement and servicing of Pressure Sand Filters (PSF) and Activated Carbon Filters (ACF).

4. Chemical Handling & Waste Management

· Maintain accurate stock of treatment chemicals and ensure correct chemical preparation and consumption tracking.

· Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste such as STP sludge and waste oils as per environmental norms.

5. Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain documentation related to chemical usage, test reports, logbooks, maintenance records, and calibration reports.

· Prepare and submit monthly operational reports, manpower attendance, and shift summaries.

· Develop SOPs, work instructions, and process flowcharts in line with Quality, Health, and Environmental Management Systems.

6. Manpower Supervision

· Plan and supervise the deployment of manpower across STP operations.

· Prepare shift schedules and ensure effective coordination among plant operators.

· Ensure training and adherence to safety and operational procedures.

7. Environmental Compliance & Pollution Prevention

· Implement and monitor environmental pollution control measures.

· Ensure compliance with environmental safety guidelines and assist in audits and inspections.

Qualifications & Experience

· Educational Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

· Experience: Minimum 6–8 years in STP plant operation and environmental compliance in large-scale commercial or residential facilities.

Key Competencies

· Strong knowledge of STP plant processes, equipment, and TNPCB regulations.

· Hands-on experience with OCEM systems, flow meters, and chemical dosing systems.

· Proficiency in water quality testing and environmental safety protocols.

· Good documentation, reporting, and team management skills.

· Commitment to sustainability and pollution prevention.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
