Key Responsibilities

1. Story Discovery & Research

• Conduct

  on-ground and digital research

  to discover untold human stories, cultural phenomena, and local experiences.
• Identify and pitch stories that align with POI’s tone — emotional, rooted, and authentic.
• Build and maintain a

  network of story leads and contributors

  across cities and communities.

2. Storytelling & Content Creation

• Convert raw stories and insights into

  scripted narratives, short reels, and long-form interviews

  .
• Collaborate with the video, design, and production teams to bring stories to life visually and emotionally.
• Develop

  POI-style scripts

  (60-sec reels, Kahaniyan short films, Guftgu episodes) with cultural and emotional depth.

3. Trend Spotting & Pulse Stories (POI Pulse)

• Track

  daily news, conversations, and viral topics

  across social media and mainstream media.
• Pitch and script

  daily infotainment content

  that reflects the pulse of the nation — blending facts with narrative storytelling.
• Stay updated on

  cultural, entertainment, and social trends

  that can inspire fresh, shareable stories.

4. Collaboration & Ideation

• Work closely with

  editors, researchers, and producers

  to shape each story from concept to execution.
• Contribute ideas for

  new IPs, thematic story series, or region-based specials

  under the POI umbrella.
• Participate in team brainstorms to maintain a steady flow of fresh, relevant content.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Film, Literature, Media Studies, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in storytelling, journalism, or content creation.
• Strong command over

  Hindi and English

  (writing + spoken).
• Ability to connect emotionally with stories and articulate them in POI’s voice.
• Basic understanding of social media storytelling (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
• A natural people-person — curious, empathetic, and comfortable talking to strangers on camera.
• Bonus: Experience in scripting, anchoring, or short-form video production.
