Our focus lies in small-batch crafting, responsible design, and storytelling through textiles. We’re seeking a technically skilled individual to support our dyeing and printing processes. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both the science and sensitivity behind working with textiles like cotton and silk . Key Responsibilities: Execute and troubleshoot cold reactive dyeing (on cottons) and acid dyeing (on silks). Oversee small-batch dyeing with attention to color accuracy , consistency , and minimal waste . Support in setting up and running screen printing and hand printing processes. Conduct test runs and sampling based on seasonal palettes or design inputs. Collaborate with the in-house design team and production team for coordination and timelines. Maintain clear records of dye recipes, material consumption, and outcomes. Skills & Requirements: Proven experience in textile dyeing and printing , especially with natural fabrics. Strong knowledge of reactive and acid dye chemistry . Experience in working with hand-operated or low-tech setups is a plus. Understanding of color fastness, fixatives, and pre/post-treatment processes . Must be based in or willing to travel to Ahmedabad regularly. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot issues in a studio-scale setup. Duration & Compensation: Freelance / per-project engagement. Compensation will be based on experience and scope of work.
