Social Media Journalist

We are looking for a sharp, resourceful, and passionate Journalist to join our editorial team. In this role, you will be expected to identify compelling stories, conduct in-depth research, and deliver original reporting that informs, engages, and resonates with our audience.

Key Responsibilitie

• sPitch, research, and write original news stories and features on a consistent basis
• .Conduct interviews with a wide range of sources, from public figures to everyday citizens with empathy and journalistic integrity
• .Develop and maintain a network of sources in key sectors or beats
• .Fact-check all information rigorously before publication
• .Stay current with national and international news, and respond quickly to breaking stories where relevant
• .Collaborate with editors, photographers, and other writers to produce high-quality content across formats (text, multimedia, digital)
• .Use data, documents, and public records to strengthen reporting when applicable
• .Occasionally travel for field reporting or on-the-ground assignments

• or23 years of experience in a newsroom, magazine, digital platform, or as a freelance journalis

• s.Excellent command of written English (proficiency in additional Indian languages is a plus
