Job Description

Job Purpose:

To efficiently manage and control the receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials, tools, and equipment at project sites or central stores, ensuring timely availability of materials, minimal wastage, and accurate inventory records to support project operations.

Key Responsibilities:1. Material Management

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, supplies, and equipment as per purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all material receipts, issues, and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate records in the material register or ERP system.
  • Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels for critical construction materials.

2. Inventory Control

  • Conduct regular stock checks and physical verification of materials.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Update material consumption and balance reports regularly.
  • Assist in preparing monthly inventory and consumption reports for management review.

3. Material Issuance & Dispatch

  • Issue materials to site engineers and contractors as per approved requisitions.
  • Ensure proper tracking of issued materials to prevent misuse or loss.
  • Handle the return of unused materials and scrap disposal as per company policies.

4. Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with the Purchase and Accounts departments for material approvals, invoices, and GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes).
  • Support project teams by providing timely information on stock availability and pending orders.
  • Maintain records of tools, machinery, and safety equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of relevant experience in material/store management in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, consumables, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
