Store Manager (wholesale shop)

Location: Radha Bazar Street, Kolkata

Business: S M Ice Cream Mart (Wholesale – Ice Cream & Bakery Raw Materials)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Store Manager to independently handle our wholesale store operations. The role involves managing daily sales, inventory, customer relationships, and ensuring smooth store functioning while actively upselling products to increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

• Manage day-to-day store activities and opening/closing procedures

• Ensure proper cleanliness, display, and organization of products

• Coordinate with owners for pricing, offers, and new product launches

Sales & Billing:

• Handle counter sales and wholesale billing

• Maintain daily sales records (manual / Excel / billing software)

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Keep accurate track of stock (inward, outward, closing stock)

• Ensure timely stock replenishment and avoid stock-outs

• Identify slow-moving and fast-moving items

• Conduct regular physical stock verification

Customer Relationship Management:

• Build long-term relationships with wholesale customers

• Handle customer queries, complaints, and follow-ups

• Maintain a customer database (regular buyers, bulk buyers)

Upselling & Business Growth:

• Actively upsell high-margin and new products

• Suggest alternatives and combos to increase order value

• Inform customers about schemes, offers, and new arrivals

Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with warehouse, delivery boys, and office team

• Report daily performance, issues, and opportunities to management

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: 2–5 years in wholesale store / FMCG / bakery / ice cream trade

• Good knowledge of stock management & billing

• Comfortable using Excel / billing software / WhatsApp

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Honest, disciplined, and able to handle responsibility independently

Preferred Background:

• Experience in ice cream, bakery, confectionery, or food ingredients wholesale

• Familiarity with Radha Bazar / Burrabazar wholesale market preferred

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month (based on experience)
