Job Title : Store Manager – Large Furniture Store (35,000 sq ft)

Location: Nagpur, Maharashtra, India

Experience: Minimum 10 years in retail store management (preferably furniture)

Role Overview

Oversee daily store operations for a 35,000 sq ft furniture showroom

Deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales, and ensure operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, train, and motivate the store team
• Set and achieve sales, profitability, and KPI targets (e.g., sales per sq ft, turnover)
• Manage inventory, merchandising, merchandise flow, and vendor coordination
• Ensure engaging visual displays and attractive showroom layout
• Resolve escalated customer issues professionally
• Prepare and present performance reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Enforce compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards
• Optimize store performance through strategic promotions and operations

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-format retail (furniture preferred)
• Strong leadership, team development, and people-management abilities
• Proven success in sales growth, budget control, and profitability
• Excellent written and spoken English and Hindi/Marathi; knowledge of local market a plus
• Proficient with POS/ERP/inventory systems
• Organized, analytical, strategic thinker with problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or equivalent (MBA preferred)
• Flexible to work weekends/holidays as needed
