Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Inventory & Material Management

  • Oversee receipt, verification, and storage of raw materials, components, and finished products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records (materials, tools, spares, consumables).
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment based on production needs.
  • Manage inventory cycle counts and annual physical stock audits.
  • Reduce material waste, shrinkage, and stock discrepancies.

2. Warehouse & Store Operations

  • Ensure proper storage conditions based on material type (e.g., hazardous, temperature-controlled, high-value items).
  • Implement 5S, FIFO/LIFO, and other warehouse best practices.
  • Optimize space utilization and ensure logical store layout for easy retrieval.
  • Supervise loading/unloading, packing, and dispatch of materials.

3. Production Support

  • Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely material issuance.
  • Track material consumption and update stock availability in real-time.
  • Prevent material shortages that could delay production.

4. Documentation & System Updates

  • Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), MRN, issue slips, and delivery documentation.
  • Update ERP/WMS systems accurately (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and audit requirements.

5. Team Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and handlers.
  • Prepare shift schedules and allocate daily tasks.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend improvements or training.

6. Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols for material handling, storage, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Monitor proper functioning of store equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and weighing machines.

7. Vendor & Logistics Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers for material deliveries and quality verification.
  • Liaise with logistics partners for inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Manage returns, rejections, and replacement materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in stores or warehouse management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, inventory management tools, and MS Office.
  • Certification in logistics/warehouse management is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
