Role Overview: As a Store Keeper, your main responsibility will be to maintain and manage inventory efficiently, handle the receiving and issuing of materials, and ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the storage area. Your role is crucial in supporting the smooth operations of the organization by ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate records of stock items to track inventory effectively. - Monitor stock levels and promptly notify management of low stock to prevent shortages. - Conduct regular stock-taking and inventory audits to ensure accuracy. - Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and label and store items correctly. - Issue materials and products as per requisition, recording transactions accurately. - Organize stock systematically for easy retrieval and maintain proper storage conditions to prevent damage. - Ensure cleanliness and safety in the storage area to create a conducive working environment. - Maintain detailed records of all stock movements and update the inventory management system regularly. - Prepare reports on stock levels, wastage, and discrepancies to facilitate decision-making. - Coordinate with procurement, production, and other departments for seamless operations. - Report damaged or missing goods to the concerned department and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree is a plus). - Proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar role. - Knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Tally, MS Excel). - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Good communication skills. - Ability to lift and move heavy items if required.
