Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Material Management

Receive, inspect, and store all incoming materials and tools.
Issue materials to construction teams based on approved requisitions.
Keep accurate records of stock levels and consumption.
Ensure materials are stored properly to avoid damage or deterioration.

2. Inventory Control

Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
Conduct regular stock audits (daily, weekly, or monthly).
Reconcile physical stock with inventory records.
Use software or manual registers to track stock (ERP systems, Excel, or construction inventory software).

3. Coordination with Site and Procurement Teams

Communicate with the procurement/purchase department to raise purchase requests.
Update project managers and engineers on stock status.
Plan ahead to prevent delays due to material shortages.

4. Documentation

Maintain GRNs (Goods Received Notes), Issue Slips, Stock Registers, etc.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on material consumption.
Ensure proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing materials.

5. Safety and Compliance

Ensure the storage yard is organized and compliant with safety regulations.
Store hazardous materials separately with proper labeling.
Prevent pilferage or misuse of materials.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate having experience in handling Site Construction material (Residential).
