Job Description

Job Purpose:

Manage and supervise the daily operations of the stores department, including receipt, storage, and issuance of materials.
Ensure accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation with ERP systems.
Implement efficient material handling practices to minimize stock damage, loss, or pilferage.
Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to meet material requirements and maintain stock adequacy.
Monitor and optimize warehouse space utilization and layout to facilitate smooth material flow and accessibility.
Develop and enforce safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
Train and mentor storekeeping staff on best practices, procedures, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational metrics for management review.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
