Job Description

Role Overview:

The Store Assistant will support the daily operations of the bakery/restaurant store by managing inventory, handling stock movement, assisting in order processing, and ensuring proper cleanliness and organisation of the storage area. The role requires accuracy, responsibility, and teamwork to ensure smooth functioning of the store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

  • Assist in receiving, checking, and organizing stock (raw materials, packaging items, and finished goods).
  • Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory data regularly.
  • Conduct periodic stock counts and assist in reconciliation.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) method is followed to minimize wastage.

2. Stock Handling & Storage

  • Ensure materials are stored in a clean, hygienic, and safe manner.
  • Handle bakery/restaurant products with care, maintaining quality standards.
  • Label and tag items properly for easy identification.
  • Report any damage, leakage, or expiry to the Store Supervisor immediately.

3. Order & Dispatch Support

  • Prepare items as per internal requisitions from the kitchen or counter team.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for timely supply of ingredients and materials.
  • Assist in packing and dispatching customer or outlet orders (if applicable).

4. Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Maintain inward/outward register and daily stock issue records.
  • Support in preparing GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and stock reports.
  • Assist in physical verification during monthly audits.

5. Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the store and storage area.
  • Follow proper food safety and hygiene protocols (as per FSSAI standards).
  • Ensure pest control and temperature control practices are followed.

6. Coordination & Support

  • Assist the Store Supervisor in procurement follow-ups and vendor coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen, purchase, and accounts departments.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
