Store Assistant

As a Store Assistant, your role involves handling the day-to-day operations of the store in a manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing materials, and maintaining accurate records to ensure proper inventory control and timely availability of materials for production. Key Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, and equipment. - Verify materials against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans. - Properly store materials following FIFO or FEFO methods. - Issue materials to production or other departments as per requisition. - Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock levels. - Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory audits. - Coordinate with purchase and production teams for stock replenishment. - Label and organize materials for easy identification. - Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the store area. - Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. - Generate reports on stock movement and discrepancies. Required Skills and Competencies: - Knowledge of inventory management and storekeeping procedures. - Familiarity with ERP or inventory management software. - Strong numerical accuracy and record-keeping skills. - Good communication and coordination abilities. - Basic understanding of material specifications and manufacturing processes. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Educational Qualification: - Minimum HSC / Diploma / Graduate in any discipline. - Additional certification in Store Management / Inventory Control / Supply Chain is advantageous. Experience Required: - 1 to 3 years of experience in store operations within a manufacturing or engineering industry. - Freshers with technical knowledge and willingness to learn will also be considered.
