Job Description

The Store Keeper will be responsible for the receipt, storage, issuance, and proper accounting of construction materials at residential and commercial project sites. The role requires maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring material availability, and preventing loss or damage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify materials as per Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans
  • Maintain proper storage of materials to avoid damage, deterioration, or loss
  • Issue materials to site teams strictly against approved requisitions
  • Maintain stock registers, inward–outward records, and material ledgers
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with records
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management for reordering
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and Site Engineers for material planning
  • Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and identification of materials
  • Maintain records for returnable and non-returnable materials
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety norms, and audit requirements
  • Report shortages, excesses, damages, or discrepancies immediately
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the store area

Required Experience & Skills

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Store Keeper in residential and commercial construction projects

Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of construction materials such as cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, finishing, and MEP items

Skills:

  • Good record-keeping and documentation skills
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, ERP/Inventory software preferred)
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accountability

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
