Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Steward to join our team at our Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen and service areas by maintaining cleanliness, supporting kitchen staff, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, and cooking equipment promptly and properly
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food prep or ingredient fetching
• Ensure garbage is disposed of regularly and kitchen waste bins are cleaned
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in accordance with restaurant policy
• Refill water stations and support waitstaff with clearing tables if needed
• Follow safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals or kitchen equipment
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to the supervisor
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a steward or kitchen helper preferred
• Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness practices
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an Italian or continental restaurant setting
• Basic communication skills in English or local language
• Knowledge of kitchen tools, dishwashing machines, and cleaning supplies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
