Job Description

Role Overview: As a Steering Wheel & Driver Airbag Design Engineer, your role involves finalizing the steering wheel & driver airbag design specification by reviewing spec requirements with concerned teams and releasing final spec drawings. You are expected to have sound knowledge of DFMEA, FMEA, DRBFM, process capability, and experience in part development with vendors and audit. Additionally, you will support the testing team for system integration and vehicle performance improvements while interpreting crash/SLED results and preparing reports. Key Responsibilities: - Finalize steering wheel & driver airbag design specification by reviewing spec requirements with concerned teams - Release final spec drawings - Support the testing team for system integration and vehicle performance improvements - Interpret crash/SLED results and prepare reports - Have sound knowledge of DFMEA, FMEA, DRBFM, process capability - Experience in part development with vendors and audit - Demonstrate design practices like FMEA and DFMEA - Suggest countermeasures for design improvement, cost/weight reductions - Understand market/prototype failures and analyze failures Qualifications Required: - BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Mechatronics (Note: The company's additional details were not provided in the job description.),
