Statutory Audit Manager

Job Summary:

The Statutory Audit Manager will be responsible for managing audit assignments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering high-quality audit services to clients. The role involves planning, executing, and finalizing audit assignments for clients in various industries according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Statutory Audit Manager will also develop and maintain relationships with clients and contribute to the firm’s overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Planning and Execution:
• Lead and manage statutory audit engagements of various clients in accordance with regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
• Develop audit strategies, risk assessments, and audit plans.
• Oversee the audit process from planning to completion, ensuring all audit objectives are met.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their business, processes, and internal controls.
• Compliance and Regulation:
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and auditing standards (including IND AS, IFRS, and Companies Act).
• Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure clients are compliant.
• Team Management:
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff to ensure high-quality audit performance.
• Allocate tasks and manage resources effectively to meet deadlines.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on technical and audit-related matters.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client engagements, addressing client queries and concerns.
• Provide value-added advice and insights to clients on improving their internal controls and financial reporting processes.
• Reporting:
• Prepare and review audit reports, financial statements, and other deliverables.
• Present audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of audit reports.
• Quality Control and Improvement:
• Ensure adherence to the firm’s quality control policies and procedures.
• Continuously seek to improve audit processes and methodologies.
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives to enhance audit quality and efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Educational Background: CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant audit experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in auditing standards, accounting principles, and statutory requirements. Strong knowledge of IND AS and IFRS.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• IT Skills: Proficiency in audit software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
