Role Summary:

State Head Sales

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Own and drive revenue targets for AP & Telangana region.
  • Implement regional strategies aligned with national goals to boost tractor and equipment sales.
  • Manage and monitor performance metrics to ensure target achievements.

Dealer & Channel Management

  • Develop, expand, and manage dealer and partner networks across rural and semi-urban areas.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, training, and activation of channel partners.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support dealer profitability.

Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Drive accountability through goal-setting, performance reviews, and KPIs.
  • Provide field support and develop talent for future leadership.

Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence

  • Drive farmer engagement through on-ground activations, events, and partnerships.
  • Monitor regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design region-specific campaigns.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Provide weekly/monthly updates to senior leadership on sales performance and market dynamics.
  • Coordinate with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:

    Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing/Rural Management preferred.
  • Experience:

    • 712 years of total experience with 3–5 years in a regional/state leadership role.
    • Prior experience in tractors, agri-machinery, rural finance, or FMCG/rural distribution is a must.
  • Language:

    Fluency in

    Telugu

    and

    English

    is mandatory; Hindi is a plus.
  • Skills:

    Strong leadership, analytical mindset, rural sales expertise, negotiation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Hands-on leader with the ability to work in high-growth, unstructured environments.
  • Strong connects in rural and semi-urban markets of AP & TG.
  • Proven ability to scale business and drive field execution.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM, dashboards, and digital tools.
