We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor with over 10 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and assembly supervision. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and timely delivery of fabricated and assembled products. This role demands strong leadership, technical skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of skilled technicians and fabricators. Key responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities in the sheet metal fabrication and assembly workshop. Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication/assembly plans to allocate jobs to teams. Ensure jobs are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and production timelines. Plan manpower and resources effectively to meet daily production targets. Monitor and improve workflow, efficiency, and productivity across the shop floor. Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Guide and mentor fabrication and assembly teams; conduct on-the-job training as required. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fabrication, fit-up, welding, or assembly. Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and material usage. Liaise with planning, design, quality, and procurement departments for seamless execution. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop for better performance and cost efficiency. Strong knowledge of fabrication processes (shearing, bending, punching, welding, grinding, etc.). Familiarity with a wide range of tools, machines, and welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and BOMs. Experience in handling various materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Working knowledge of production planning software and basic MS Office tools.
