About The Opportunity
A role in the K-12 Education & School Health Services sector delivering on-site nursing care for students and staff in a busy Delhi school. This position provides professional clinical support during school hours, including first aid, routine health monitoring, emergency response, and coordination with local healthcare providers to maintain a safe learning environment.Location: Karmpura, Delhi — On-site (India)Role & Responsibilities
- Triage and provide immediate first-aid care for student and staff injuries and illnesses according to established protocols.
- Manage medical emergencies on-site, stabilise patients, and coordinate timely transfers to nearby hospitals when required.
- Maintain accurate health records, medication logs, incident reports, and immunization records for students and staff.
- Conduct regular health screenings (vision, hearing, growth monitoring) and refer cases to parents or primary care providers as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and follow-up care per parental consent and school medical policies; enforce medication safety procedures.
- Develop and deliver health education messages to students and staff and contribute to emergency preparedness and infection-control practices in the school.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- GNM or B.Sc Nursing with active registration from the relevant State Nursing Council.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification; pediatric CPR preferred.
- Proven experience working in school health, paediatric outpatient, community health, or similar settings.
- Strong competency in first aid, medication administration, wound care, and emergency triage.
- Good record-keeping skills and familiarity with maintaining confidential health records.
- Ability to communicate clearly with children, parents, teaching staff, and external healthcare providers; comfortable working in a school environment.
Preferred
- Experience with immunization tracking and school health programmes.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or digital medical log systems.
- Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced First Aid.
