Patient Care and Monitoring Conduct initial nursing assessments and vital signs checks. Monitor patients for withdrawal symptoms, mental status changes, and overall health. Administer prescribed medications, including detox protocols under physician guidance. Provide wound care or manage comorbid conditions as needed. 2. Support During Detox and Recovery Assist patients during the detoxification process with compassion and vigilance. Identify signs of medical or psychiatric emergencies and respond promptly. Ensure patient safety, especially for those at risk of self-harm or relapse. 3. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate and timely nursing notes and patient records. Report changes in patient condition to doctors and therapists. Ensure proper handover during shift changes. 4. Patient Education and Motivation Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and health management. Encourage patients to participate in therapy, group sessions, and healthy routines. Promote hygiene, nutrition, and healthy habits. 5. Team Collaboration Coordinate with doctors, counselors, therapists, and other care providers. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning. Follow and implement the center's policies, procedures, and safety protocols. 6. Crisis Management and Conflict Resolution De-escalate tense situations and manage aggressive or non-compliant behavior. Provide emotional support during relapses or psychological crises. 7. Family Support and Communication Communicate with family members when appropriate and authorized. Provide updates, guidance, and reassurance to patient families as needed. 8. Maintaining a Therapeutic Environment Foster a calm, respectful, and drug-free environment. Monitor for contraband or signs of substance use on the premises. Uphold patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
