Sr Vice President-Head of Trade Finance Ops

As the Trade Finance & Operations Manager at Mashreq Bank, your role involves providing strategic and transaction-level trade finance advice to customer segments such as CIBG, IBG, and RBG. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational delivery of world-class trade finance services for the bank's customers. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring effective positioning of Mashreq Trade in the ever-evolving regulatory, risk, and technology landscape - Adhering to regulatory guidelines and meeting internal and external audit standards - Creating a unique service proposition to maintain Mashreq's leadership position in trade finance - Strategizing on process improvement opportunities, automation of processes, policy changes, and control robustness - Developing and maintaining specialized teams of managers and Subject Matter Experts - Setting and maintaining KPIs and accuracy standards, as well as mentoring and training staff - Nurturing teams with the competency to handle complex transactions in various trade areas - Collaborating with senior management and business partners to formulate trade service standards and product offerings - Managing a team of 200+ highly skilled trade finance employees across multiple geographies - Ensuring an optimal resourcing model for trade operations to achieve strategic objectives - Embedding a culture of continuous improvement to enhance customer experience, productivity, and efficiency - Developing a culture of talent development to meet business objectives - Maintaining good relationships with customers, business groups, vendors, and support divisions - Driving dialogue with stakeholders to ensure value-added services are delivered - Maintaining competencies and skills for proper succession planning within the managed area Your role will be crucial in driving the success of Mashreq Bank's trade finance operations and maintaining its position as a leader in the industry.,
