Sr SQL Database Administrator with IT Product based Co in Pune- Hybrid

Job Title: SQL Database Administrator

Job Location: Pune (Hybrid)

Experience- 10 to 14 Years

What will be your responsibility:

• Database maintenance including job management, space management, automated backups and automated restores

• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

• Database availability including process management, index maintenance

• Database security including surface area management, database integrity and user access control

• Assist with the writing of TSQL code, Assist with database errors

• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement

• Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-

training to other peers and team members

What is needed from you:

• 10 to 12 years MS SQL Server Administration experience required

• B.E., B. Tech or relevant degree

• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models

• Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) management for SQL Server

• Experience of data Mirroring, replication and log shipping.

• Management of files and file groups, table archiving and partitioning.

• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality

• Ability to organize and plan work independently

• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment

• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams

• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus

• MongoDB and PostgreSQL DB skills are a big plus
