Sr Sourcing Manager

Role Overview: As a Senior Manager Sourcing [Wovens] at our fast-growing youth casual-wear and lifestyle brand based in Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to lead sourcing operations with a specific focus on womenswear woven fabrics. You will play a critical role in ensuring cost-effective procurement, establishing strong vendor partnerships, negotiating contracts, driving continuous improvement in sourcing processes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement sourcing strategies specifically tailored for woven fabrics in womenswear. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers by conducting thorough market research and analyzing performance metrics. - Utilize your strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts, pricing, and terms that maximize value for the company. - Foster and maintain robust relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and quality supply chain. - Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews, and implement improvement plans as needed. - Manage the sourcing budget effectively, identifying opportunities for cost-saving and operational efficiency. - Travel to explore new fabrics, visit vendor facilities, and assess production capabilities to stay abreast of industry innovations. - Apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to address product development and production challenges effectively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields (MBA or certifications like CPSM, CIPS preferred). - Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing/procurement, with at least 5-6 years in a leadership/managerial role. - Demonstrated track record of developing successful sourcing strategies. - Proficiency in negotiation, supplier management, and contract management. - Strong analytical abilities with keen attention to detail. - Previous experience with womenswear woven fabrics is preferred. - A genuine passion for fashion, fabrics, and driving supply chain innovation.
