Job Title: Software Development Engineer Location: TechM Pune Hinjewadi Years of Experience: 5 7 Years Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer with a strong background in Unix scripting and administration, as well as experience in DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of server and virtual machine management, database administration, and monitoring tools. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage and optimize our software development processes. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Unix Shell scripts for automation and system management. Administer and manage Unix servers, ensuring optimal performance and security. Utilize monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace to track system performance and troubleshoot issues. Manage servers and virtual machines, including network administration tasks. Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools like Kubernetes and Docker. Administer databases (Oracle/MySQL) and perform SQL queries for data management. Oversee the administration of Apache Kafka, ensuring reliable data streaming. Resolve security vulnerabilities and perform patching activities to maintain system integrity. Mandatory Skills Extensive hands on experience in Linux/Unix Shell Scripting and Unix Administration. Proficiency in managing servers and virtual machines. Experience with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes and Docker. Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL) and practical experience with SQL. Experience in administering Kafka. Hands on experience in resolving security vulnerabilities and performing patching activities. Preferred Skills Familiarity with BT ASM processes. Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Dynatrace. Understanding of the DRUID ecosystem (DRUID, HDFS, ZooKeeper). Knowledge of Clickhouse. Experience with Apache nifi and Apache Ignite administration. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5 7 years of relevant experience in software development and system administration. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
