About The Role

We’re partnering with a fast-growing children’s audio/IoT toy company on an exciting initiative leading up to Holiday 2025. They are seeking experienced, senior-level React Native Engineers to help shape and deliver critical user flows, design taxonomy, and product functionality for a key seasonal launch.As a Senior/Lead React Native Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on role in building robust mobile experiences, translating product designs into actionable engineering tasks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of a seamless customer experience. This is an urgent and high-impact engagement where you will help establish technical foundations and contribute to a comprehensive backlog and execution plan.

Responsibilities

Lead development of core user flows in React Native for a consumer IoT/mobile product.
Translate existing product designs into structured JIRA tickets, including initiatives, epics, and user stories.
Collaborate with design, product, and tech leadership to estimate work and build out a prioritized backlog.
Ensure high-quality, maintainable code with best practices in performance, testing, and scalability.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team as needed.
Contribute to ongoing design taxonomy and system architecture to support holiday and long-term product efforts.

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on react native for 3+years.
Proven expertise in React Native, with multiple production launches at scale.
Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX best practices and ability to implement complex design flows.
Experience breaking down product requirements into technical deliverables (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria).
Familiarity with JIRA (or similar tools) for backlog management and agile workflows.
Bonus: Experience with IoT integrations, children’s products, or consumer hardware/software ecosystems. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
