Sr. Microbiologist

Job Role / Responsibilities:

• Research & Analysis
• Study microorganisms to understand their physiology, genetics, and behavior.
• Identify, isolate, and classify microbes from samples (e.g., soil, water, food, clinical specimens).
• Conduct experiments to understand microbial growth, metabolism, and response to environmental factors.
• Laboratory Work
• Perform microbial culturing, staining, microscopy, and biochemical testing.
• Use molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, sequencing, gel electrophoresis) to analyze microbial DNA/RNA.
• Maintain sterile and safe lab conditions following biosafety protocols.
• Industrial & Applied Microbiology
• Develop or improve products such as vaccines, antibiotics, enzymes, probiotics, or biofuels.
• Monitor microbial contamination in manufacturing or food production facilities.
• Work on bioremediation or waste treatment projects.
• Clinical & Medical Microbiology
• Diagnose infectious diseases by identifying pathogens in clinical samples.
• Test antibiotic susceptibility and track resistance patterns.
• Support public health surveillance and outbreak investigations.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Record and interpret experimental data accurately.
• Write technical reports, research papers, and lab protocols.
• Present findings to colleagues, management, or at scientific conferences.
• Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., GMP, GLP, biosafety levels).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
