Gigamon has served more than 4,000 customers worldwide, including over 80 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, 9 of the 10 largest mobile network providers, and hundreds of governments and educational organizations.As a Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering based in India and reporting to the Sr. Director, Hardware Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of advanced hardware solutions for Gigamon’s industry-leading products. You will drive technical excellence, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the hardware roadmap and supporting Gigamon’s mission to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative network visibility solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of hardware engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
- Oversee the end-to-end hardware development lifecycle, including architecture, design, validation, and release to manufacturing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as software, product management, and operations to deliver integrated solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, quality, and productivity.
- Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation to ensure successful and timely product delivery.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to maintain Gigamon’s competitive edge.
What You’ve Done
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.
- Proven track record of delivering complex hardware products from concept through production.
- Deep understanding of hardware design, validation, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with global teams and managing projects in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation and process improvements.
