About the role:

Senior Manager/AVP – Legal

Roles and responsibilities:

• To review and vet contracts/agreements and ensure quality checks (i.e. compliance with regulatory perceptions)
• Drafting of contracts templates and review contracts related to company business
• To handle legal queries independently and deal with legal and compliance vetting of documents and agreements
• Liaise with external consultants on agreement and contracts
• Drafting and responding to legal notices, manage disputes, and liaise with external counsel on litigation and arbitration matters.
• Giving legal opinion and advises on matters
• Coordination with internal stakeholders
• Effective risk management techniques and providing advice on legal issues

Candidate must mandatorily have the following skills:

• Extensive experience with contract drafting, review and negotiation.
• Creation and updation of contracting strategies and risk mitigation efforts including developing playbooks, approval matrices, etc.
• Experience with litigation management i.e. formulating litigation strategies, providing instructions to external counsels, communicating with all relevant stakeholders, negotiating settlements
• Experience with leading and managing teams

One or more of the following areas of experience would be good to have but are not mandatory:

• Experience with M&A transactions
• Compliance management
• Employment advisory
