Gaiabay.com is an e-commerce platform focused on delivering a seamless and engaging shopping experience. We’re looking for a Senior Magento Developer who can take full ownership of our Magento-based website from maintaining and optimizing the existing setup to building new features and integrations that help us scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Magento Development & Maintenance
• Develop, customize, and maintain Magento 2 modules, themes, and extensions.
• Ensure site performance, speed optimization, and bug-free functionality.
• Maintain security patches, version upgrades, and backups.
• New Features & Enhancements
• Implement new site features, pages, and functionalities based on business needs.
• Build custom modules and integrations with third-party APIs (e.g., payment gateways, shipping, ERP, CRM).
• Support marketplace functionalities, multi-vendor features, and scalable architecture.
• Code Quality & Best Practices
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to Magento and industry coding standards.
• Optimize database queries and backend processes for high performance.
• Collaboration & Problem Solving
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time.
• Suggest innovative improvements to enhance user experience and conversion.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6+ years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Knockout.js.
• Experience with Magento 2 custom modules, theme development, and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Magento Cloud, PWA, Hyva, or headless commerce (a plus).
• Proficiency in Git/Bitbucket, Composer, Docker, and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of SEO, performance tuning, caching (Redis/Varnish), and security best practices.
• Experience integrating with shipping providers, payment gateways, and ERP/CRM systems.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of React/Vue.js for headless front-end work.
• Experience with ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, or AWS hosting.
• Prior experience working on marketplace or multi-vendor e-commerce platforms.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem solving ability with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills able to explain technical solutions in simple terms.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and lead junior developers if required.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering quality user experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
