Job Description

Strategy and Architecture:
Develop and maintain the organization's storage strategy, aligning with business requirements and IT objectives.
Design scalable, resilient, and high-performance storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
Evaluate new storage technologies and solutions, conduct proof-of-concepts and provide recommendations.
Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to storage infrastructure.
Define and enforce storage standards, policies, and best practices.
Design & Implementation:
Design, implementation, Configuration, and Administration of mission critical Fiber Channel Storage Systems (NetApp, HP and Brocade San Storage).
Lead the implementation and configuration of new storage systems and expansions.
Plan and execute data migrations and storage upgrades with minimal disruption.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for storage configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting.
Management and Maintenance:
Proactively monitor storage infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.
Perform regular health checks, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
Manage storage provisioning, allocation, and reclamation processes.
Implement and manage data protection strategies, including backups, replication, and archiving.
Administer and maintain storage management tools and platforms.
Work closely with virtualization team to recommend and implement best practices around storage deployments .
Leadership and Mentorship:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to other storage engineers and IT staff.
Mentor junior team members, fostering their technical growth and development.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including server, network, database, and application teams.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and maintain storage security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies related to data storage.
