Sr Hardware Engineer

In this role, your responsibilities will include designing and developing hardware for Industrial products to function in harsh industrial environments while meeting environmental and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with specialists in hardware, software, and testing to ensure seamless integration with other components. From concept to deployment, you will be responsible for developing hardware solutions, including design, schematics, and testing to ensure proper functionality. Identifying, analyzing, and optimizing hardware performance will be crucial, along with ensuring that efficient hardware meets performance specifications. Working in an Agile development methodology is also expected. You are someone who tackles challenges with urgency, high energy, and passion, and can relate openly with diverse groups of people. Making timely decisions to keep the organization moving forward is essential for this role. To succeed in this position, you will need experience with 16/32-bit Micro-controllers/Microprocessors, a strong understanding of controller architecture and peripherals, and previous experience in the full product development lifecycle. Power supply design, peripheral interface design (Ethernet/USB/DDR/ADC/SPI/I2C/Display), circuit simulation, signal integrity analysis, and guiding teams in board layout are also required. Experience in DFMEA, analytical and debugging skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies are important. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multi-functional teams are essential, along with familiarity with communication protocols like HART, Bluetooth, Ethernet/IP, and PROFINET. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, at least 6 years of hardware development experience, and strong embedded skills. Experience in designing products meeting EMI/EMC requirements for harsh industrial environments, interpreting industry standards, and working in a global engineering environment are advantageous. Additionally, experience with Bluetooth, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, HART, motor control interfaces, and actuators is beneficial.
