The impact you ll make
Lam Research is looking to hire a Senior Group Manager for Service Parts Planning team in India. This position would be accountable for providing functional leadership to service parts planning team in India to drive enterprise level value addition.
Our service parts planning team in India comprises of demand planners, customer planners, business system analysts and product planners. The leader would be expected to understand Lam s business model, co-own creating a vision for service parts planning team and drive positive change necessary to realize the vision. This role is pivotal in ensuring the availability of critical service parts to support global installed base operations, minimizing equipment downtime, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
The role will require flawless delivery of activities from India resulting in highest level of product and service quality as viewed through the eyes of internal as well as external customers
What you ll do

Installed Base Support

: Ensure optimal service parts availability to support field service teams and customer operations across global regions, balancing cost, lead time, and service level targets.

Team Leadership

: Lead and develop a high-performing team of planners and analysts. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Performance Metrics

: Drive performance to critical KPIs fill rate, inventory turns, service level adherence, and excess/obsolete inventory to drive operational excellence.

Strategic Planning & Execution

: Help in developing and leading the global service parts planning strategy to support a complex, high-mix, low-volume product portfolio with long product lifecycles.

Advanced Planning Systems:

Drive the adoption and optimization of planning tools (e.g., SPM, SAP-MRP, Kinaxis) and leverage AI/ML capabilities to improve forecasting accuracy and responsiveness.

Lifecycle & Obsolescence Management:

Manage service parts across the product lifecycle, including new product introductions (NPI), end-of-life (EOL) planning, and obsolescence mitigation.
Who we re looking for

Years of Experience

: Multiple years of experience in supply chain or service parts planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a high-tech or capital equipment environment.

Educational qualification

: Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field (Master s or MBA preferred).

Mandatory Skills required to performing the job

:
    • Strong experience in leading multi-disciplinary functional teams of Service Parts planning, Parts Order fulfillment, Procurement/Vendor Management simultaneously working on multiple business processes
    • Experience in large industrial company with diversified and globalized supply chain and manufacturing operations along with demonstrated capability to work with global stakeholders
    • Deep understanding of global service operations.
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning setting vision and objectives, creating strategies, forecasting and budgeting
    • Proficiency in advanced planning systems and ERP tools; experience with digital transformation initiatives is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global teams.
