Job Description

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a result-driven Business Development Executive to lead sales of byproducts and scrap materials generated from our lithium-ion battery recycling operations. The candidate will focus on selling materials such as aluminum, copper, plastic casings, steel, and other recyclable outputs to relevant industries, aggregators, and trading partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential buyers for various recyclable byproducts including E - waste, copper, aluminum, plastic and steel scrap.
  • Build and maintain relationships with scrap dealers, metal traders, manufacturing industries, and secondary raw material buyers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions based on market dynamics and material quality.
  • Track and analyze commodity pricing trends to optimize revenue.
  • Coordinate with plant and logistics teams for material availability, sampling, and timely dispatches.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, contracts, and customer communications.
  • Explore new markets and develop strategic partnerships for long-term sales agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and documentation (e.g., Form 6, e-waste movement documents, etc.).
  • Visit client sites and participate in scrap auctions or trading forums as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Materials Management, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in scrap sales, metal trading, or industrial raw material sales.
  • Strong network in the scrap trading industry or secondary raw material market.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of metal pricing, quality assessment, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and handle commercial discussions.

Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with E - Waste and its end-user segments (e.g., metal recovery/refining companies).
  • Exposure to ERP/CRM systems for sales and dispatch tracking.
  • Knowledge of logistics and documentation related to waste/byproduct transportation.
