Production Manager Lithium-ion Battery Recycling Plant :

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and monitor day-to-day production activities to meet output, quality, and safety targets.
  
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) protocols, and government regulations regarding handling and recycling of lithium-ion batteries.
  
• Supervise a team of supervisors, technicians, and plant operators to ensure smooth functioning of shredding, crushing, separation, and black mass recovery processes.
  
• Optimize production processes to improve yield, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.
  
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure minimal disruption.
  
• Maintain accurate production records, inventory of input materials, and report KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, and OEE.
  
• Liaise with the Quality Control team to address product quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  
• Ensure workforce discipline, skill development, and training in line with process and safety standards.
  
• Support audit processes by external agencies and regulatory bodies (Pollution Control Board, Fire Department, etc.).
  
• Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of battery chemistry and recycling processes (mechanical/thermal/hydrometallurgical).
  
• Experience in handling hazardous and flammable materials.
  
• Knowledge of industry safety norms and statutory compliance.
  
• Leadership and team management abilities.
  
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Proficient in using ERP software and production reporting tools.
