Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Claim Management

Receive, record, and track claims from
GT distributors, MT customers, and E-commerce partners
.
Validate claims related to
schemes, discounts, promotions, damages, shortages, returns, price-offs, and penalties
.
Ensure claims are supported with proper documentation (invoices, debit notes, proof of delivery, scheme approvals).

Channel-wise Responsibilities

General Trade

Process distributor claims for trade schemes, credit notes, and secondary discounts.
Reconcile distributor statements and outstanding claims.

Modern Trade

Handle claims related to promotions, visibility, listing fees, penalties, and rate differences.
Coordinate with Key Account Managers and MT partners for claim validation and closure.

E-commerce

Process claims for returns, damages, short deliveries, platform penalties, and commercial settlements.
Coordinate with E-commerce portals, supply chain, and customer service teams.

Coordination & Communication

Liaise with
Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service
teams for claim resolution.
Follow up with customers and internal stakeholders to close pending or disputed claims.

Financial Control & Reporting

Ensure claims are processed within defined
SLA timelines
.
Maintain accurate claim records and update ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/other).
Prepare
claim ageing reports, variance analysis, and MIS
for management review.
Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Compliance & Process Improvement

Ensure adherence to company policies and contractual agreements.
Identify recurring claim issues and suggest process improvements to reduce future claims.
