Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – Sheet Metal

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in sheet metal design and fabrication. The selected candidate will play a key role in developing high quality designs, collaborating with multiple departments, and ensuring that the final deliverables meet client expectations and industry standards.

Qualifications:

 Education: BE / ME in Mechanical Engineering

 Design Tools: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

 Core Expertise: Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, materials, and manufacturing principles

 Soft Skills: Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Experience: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal design and development

Roles & Responsibilities:

 Design and develop sheet metal components as per project requirements

 Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

 Interpret client specifications and provide timely updates on project progress

 Select appropriate materials and ensure designs are fabrication-ready

 Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)

 Collaborate with production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability

 Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure material availability

 Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback for improvement

 Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

 Initiate and review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to resolve issues and implement

enhancements
