Job Description

Your key responsibilities include -
To lead, manage, and oversee offshore accounting engagements largely US accounting and controllership activities. To monitor and review day-to-day accounting operations of the team members(including accounting day-to-day transactions, reconciliations, reports, etc) in ashared service environment. Scheduling work for team members. Reviewing the performance of team members on periodic intervals and flag both excellent performers and those that require an improvement plan. To transition engagements from the US offshore partners (you may need to travel and stay for the duration of the transition if need be.) To assess gaps in processes and controls and ensure they are remedied at the earliest, constantly.

To build and maintain relationships with appropriate levels of management within the company and with clients, communicate important issues, opportunities, and/or problems that may impact the performance of the engagements. To identify, implement and execute productivity and efficiency-related initiatives. To attract, develop, motivate and retain finance talent. Providing critical accountabilities for all offshore accounting-related activities. To hold P&L responsibility for the engagements. Identifying training requirements of the team members. To identify and groom potential leaders in the team. Leading a team of about 15 people scaling up to 50+ over the next 12-18 months and handle multiple clients on a shared service model. Taking overall responsibility to ensure timely delivery and quality services as per the service level agreements with the clients. To motivate and retain high-performing team members. To excel in this role, you need to have- The ability to work on different ERP applications besides QuickBooks, etc. Flexibility to work between 1.30 PM to 10.30 PM India time as the role would need frequent interaction with counterparts in the USA. It will be awesome if you Possess excellent communication and presentation capability to be able to have conversations with US clients with confidence and poise. Have good accounting knowledge. Come with an excellent academic background. Demonstrate discipline and commitment to delivering assigned tasks in stipulated timelines. Have a willingness to learn and apply enhanced productivity tools and processes. Can guide and mentor teams, including those at senior levels, implement the processes and ensure process compliances, review data, analyse and present MIS reports. Handle stakeholder engagement. Exhibit negotiation skills, ability to influence and analytical approach to work. Have problem-solving skills and initiative-taking capabilities. Able to work as part of a team and build strong working relationships. You should be a - Qualified CA with a minimum of 10-12+ years of working experience.
