Job Description

We are looking for a technically proficient and motivated

Automation Engineer

with hands-on experience in

Schneider Electric automation systems

. The candidate should have strong expertise in

PLC, HMI, SCADA programming and commissioning

, particularly using Schneider’s platforms like

Modicon PLCs

and

EcoStruxure software

.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot automation systems using Schneider Modicon PLCs (M221, M241, M580, etc.).
  • Program and configure HMI/SCADA systems using EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert, Vijeo Designer, or Wonderware.
  • Integrate and test automation solutions at customer sites (onsite commissioning).
  • Work closely with project teams to understand technical requirements and provide custom automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including IO lists, logic diagrams, and operation manuals.
  • Provide post-installation support and remote troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure projects comply with industry standards and client specifications.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Schneider Electric automation platforms (Modicon, EcoStruxure, Unity Pro, Control Expert).
  • Experience in configuring industrial communication protocols like Modbus, CANopen, Ethernet/IP.
  • Ability to interpret control panel wiring diagrams and process documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for commissioning and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation using Schneider platforms.
