Major Duties : Develops tools and processes used to maintain a common, data standard across the organization Delivers data management standards, processes, controls and content for the creation and maintenance of common data dictionaries Participates in periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with the data governance policies (includes compliance assessments, monitoring and control testing) Collaborates with partners across the organization in maintaining data governance and data quality structures ensuring we are meeting business needs while balancing quality, risk and cost Identifies improvements to existing processes to further gain operational efficiency and productivity Assists with special projects and/or process improvement initiatives Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines Knowledge : Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Management concepts Understands and effectively communicates the role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities within the sphere of the data domain Excellent oral and written communication skills are required In-depth Functional/Industry Knowledge is required Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel), SQL or Data Analysis tools Experience : A College or University degree and/or relevant demonstrated work experience preferred Previous Financial Services Experience preferred Working With Us As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
