Specialist Financial Planning & Analysis

As a Financial Analyst at IHG Hotels & Resorts, your role involves providing financial insight to support the CoE FP&A and Hotel Operations teams as well as Finance business partners in driving performance and value for IHG. You will be responsible for various decision support activities including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Additionally, you will create and maintain dashboards, standard packs, and populate standard reports with data for system size, pipeline, corporate, and hotel results. Your key accountabilities will include supporting CoE month-end close activities, raising journal requests, consolidating sub-sets, providing ad-hoc reports and analysis, identifying process improvement opportunities, and collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality outputs. You will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships within the CoE and with the BSC to resolve issues effectively, ensure documentation of relevant processes, and contribute to management reporting through the maintenance of data logs and support audit queries. To excel in this role, you should have a finance or business-related education, preferably CA (I)/CWA (I) or MBA in Finance, along with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. Experience as a finance analyst with operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting skills is desired. You should be an advanced user of Oracle, Essbase, reporting tools, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced global environment with tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication, interpersonal, collaborative, and problem-solving skills are also essential for this position.
